WE MAY BE SMALL, BUT WE’RE QUITE MIGHTY
KATRIN SHEIN
CO-FOUNDER
“Working in an untraditional space, makes the risk to push boundaries that much more appealing”.
Throughout my entire life, I’ve been known to push boundaries. Whether I’m pushing them with my mother or on strategy calls with multi-million dollar brands building their social media campaigns. To be able to push the boundaries, you must understand the variables you’re dealing with; it’s all organized chaos.
Before dropping out of college in 2018, I was on the verge of obtaining my accounting degree. I was never quite passionate about aligning debits and credits, but this introduced me to algorithms, patterns, and data analysis. A lot of the work I do with brands requires a strong technical understanding of how channels are performing, budgeting ad campaigns, and, most importantly, whether or not there is a real return on investment.
With my background in Marketing & Graphic Design, I’m able to craft content that not only looks visually compelling but also strategically aligns with the brand’s goals. I understand the power of design, the impact of messaging, and how to create organic content that speaks directly to the target audience. This expertise allows me to add real value to my clients by building campaigns that not only engage but also convert, ensuring that every post, ad, or creative has a purpose and delivers measurable results.
JAMES JOPE
CO- FOUNDER
“A GREAT STORY ISN’T JUST TOLD—IT’S CHAMPIONED.”
I'm passionate about telling stories that captivate and connect. Over the past few years, I've been developing and producing content that spans social media marketing, videography, and short film development. Through this work, I've gained a deep understanding of audiences—what resonates with them and how to deliver the kind of content that drives engagement and delivers real value to our clients.
I’ve also embraced the digital landscape, producing content that has achieved impressive results, including a YouTube-based documentary channel that amassed over 1.5 million views in just a year. Now, I’m expanding Bad Social’s vision to include the development of impactful short films and storytelling projects, combining my love for both traditional media and cutting-edge digital marketing.
ALFIE
CHIEF TREAT OFFICER
“IT’S A DOG’S WORLD FOR A REASON.”
Alfie was adopted at the age of two and quickly became the CTO of Bad Social. Despite being blind, he has a great eye for the finer delicacies in life, like raw food, treats, and interrupting meetings with his favourite squeaky Grinch toy.
Though he is only four years of age, he wears various hats at Bad Social. His tasks include (but are not limited to) testing CPG products, managing our human resources (and the depletion of resources, depending on who you ask), and attending photoshoots. Over the past two years, he’s starred in various campaigns, from Red Rooster to Indiana Bones; his versatility has proven to be quite the asset to our small but, incredibly mighty team.
